Kavin Raj is a famous film and TV actor. He played Shiva in the Star Vijay drama Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. In 2012, he made his film debut with the mystery horror film Pizza.

He then worked in the television series Thayumanavan and later played the role of Murugan in Saravanan Meenatchi between 2012 and 2013. He was cast in the series Saravanan Meenatchi to play the character of Vettaiyan from 2013 to 2016, for which he won the Vijay TV Grants 2015 science fiction movie Indru Netru Naalai, directed by R. Ravikumar.

His 2017 film venture includes the action drama Sathriyan, directed by S. R. Prabhakaran. In it, he is essential to the lead cast opposite Vikram Prabhu, Manjima Mohan, and Aishwarya Dutta.
